The scholarship was introduced to Girls Write Now by mentor Nevin Mays, the Chair of Scholarships and Fellowships at Women’s Media Group. In addition to receiving funds to assist in her studies, Daleelah has the option to join WMG as a member with full benefits (including networking and programming opportunities) for three years with all fees waived for this period. Women’s Media Group and Girls Write Now share a dedication to promoting the voices of women-identifying and trans people across all forms of media. This scholarship enables mentees and mentee alumni like Daleelah to pursue their goals with support from a creative community.
