Champions for the Next Generation of Women Writers!
Girls Write Now experienced great growth in 2016 and we couldn’t have done it without our champions. Here is a sample of what our champions are saying about Girls Write Now, and it’s our honor to now champion them! Thank you for being the ambassadors of the next generation of women writers.

That is why I am going out to my network, a 2500+ all-women Facebook group called “What Would Virginia Woolf Do?” — if curious, check out our newsletter here: http://eepurl.com/b7ECjP)  and asking them to chip in, whatever they can afford, in order to support Girls Write Now.”
Lena Dunham, Writer: “Girls Write Now is  gift not just to the young women it serves but to the rest of us who will become their devoted readers for life, filling our shelves with their books.”

Thank you, Mariane Pearl, for affirming the “need to listen as girls reveal the impressive reservoir of resilience, perseverance and compassion.”

Mariane Pearl, Writer and Managing Editor for Chime for Change: “Girls’ ideas, wisdom and vision are a precious gift to those who listen. Girls Write Now showcases this…”
Tom Rabbitt, College Prep Panelist: “For the past 15 years I have been inspired by Girls Write Now. The mentoring I have observed is meaningful because it is grounded in this very pragmatic purpose. As a member of the college prep panel, I am honored to help our young woman fulfill their college plans. Whatever way I help them, I must admit, pales in comparison to what they give me. Their hope in the future; their commitment to change the injustice they see around them; their concern for each other; they remind me of what truly makes this country great. Of late, that reminder is the best part of my hope in America.”
Gloria Steinem, Activist and Writer: “Girls Write Now, you are filling the heart, the mind, the body. And truly, it’s a revolutionary act.”
Josleen Wilson, Mentor Alum: “In my mind, Girls Write Now is much more than a mentoring organization for underserved girls. The bond between mentors and mentees is powerful because we are all writers, all equals.”
