Writing 360
For some of us, our on-stage career ended with our elementary school debut of “Hot-Crossed Buns.” After which a bookworm-ish knack took over (just us?). Lucky for all of us, writer, producer, and performer, Ana Maria Jomolca, welcomes us back on the stage with the first Writing 360 workshop in May!
In this workshop, we step into the spotlight to create Broadway-worthy re-tellings of our most cherished stories. Delve into the differences between short stories and stage-ready scripts—and how they can coexist. So warm-up those keyboards, and take your places, people! The stage is yours.
Ana Maria Jomolca studied Film and Creative Writing at The New School and received her MFA in Fiction at Hunter College. She’s been published in The Sun Magazine, Cosmonauts, Avenue (an online, monthly literary journal run by women and non-binary folks dedicated to elevating and amplifying underrepresented voices) New York Press, National Geographic, and Glee magazine. Her short film, “everygirl,” debuted at Tribeca Film Center and screened at Women in the Director’s Chair Film Festival (Chicago), The New Festival and BAM.
