Hello! Welcome the asynchronous writing component of your College & MFA Preparation Journey. This course is designed to help develop write your personal statement, make the most of your college. experience, exploring graduate degree programs specifically a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and learn about different options to fund your education. Specific topics range from using your college or universities resources, including the writing center, what to expect from an MFA program, and navigating financial aid.

Mentorship
You are in one of the following pair types. You pair type is listed on your GWN Portal profile.
- Type 1: Mentor/Mentee: Meet 2-3 times per month and, as a pair, attend one of the engagement events listed below at least once per month.
- Type 2 : Peer-to-Peer: Meet 2 times per month and, as a pair, attend one of the engagement events listed below at least once per month.

Submissions
- Submit a completed draft of your personal statement (1-2 pages), statement of purpose (1-2 pages), or creative writing sample (5-10 pages of your chosen genre; poetry, fiction, nonfiction, screenwriting, playwriting, etc.) for your college or MFA application to the Journey Google Drive Folder
