Alice in App Land: The Narrative Psychology of App Design

Saturday, April 9
2-4:15PM ET

Online event; Open only to Mentees and Mentors in
Writing 360

Everyone with a smartphone is a consumer of apps. We make about 35,000 decisions a day, and some of those decisions are unconsciously made through each tap and swipe across the multiple glowing screens we constantly touch. In this workshop, Ivy Mahsciao will cover the often hidden psychology operating on either side of the screen. From interaction design principles and behavioral economics to game theory, this workshop will provide a unique understanding of the psychology of apps. Not only will you learn how to design apps that are socially beneficial, you will also learn  how to become a better informed consumer of apps.
