About the Event

Thursday, Dec. 1
6-7 PM ET

online event; open to all mentees, mentors, program alumni, & Diversity Committee members

In this Editorial Forum, we’ll discuss the ways we think about holidays and celebrations from a storytelling perspective. Which communities’ stories are regularly celebrated? Which communities’ stories are regularly overlooked?

What and who should we celebrate at Girls Write Now? How can we use our power as a publishing platform to uplift stories from communities and cultures that are underrepresented in traditional publishing spaces?

Join us for a meaningful discussion about joy, remembrance, and the power of stories.
