Poetry In Action: Critical Race Theory

Thursday, Feb. 3
6-7:15 PM ET

online event, open to the public and all mentees & mentors

Legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw, who coined the term Critical Race Theory (CRT), notes that CRT is not a noun, but a verb. Under attack and banned from being taught in some schools, CRT takes center stage in this vital Community Chat where we explore the affects of systemic racism and seek liberation. Stories will be shared and silence will be broken in an evening culminating in writing poetry with poet Brittany Barker. Come conjugate Critical Race Theory by letting your voice be heard!
