Before its final, sophisticated form, every recording goes through a series of processes—and then some. Roll your sleeves up and start unpacking audio production with Stephanie Kariuki, a Peabody Award nominated producer and Senior Producer at Vice Audio (and Girls Write Now mentor alum!). In this workshop, we discuss the theoretical elements of audio production and take it a step further with practice.
Meet Your Teaching Artist
Stephanie Kariuki
Stephanie Kariuki is a Peabody Award nominated producer based in Brooklyn, NY. She currently work as a senior producer at Vice Audio and is in the midst of making a documentary that will premier in 2022. She previously worked on the limited run series Strongman and was on the documentary team at Stitcher producing shows like Unfinished: Deep South and The Dream. She also worked on The Secret Lives of Black Women and both seasons of the Marvel’s Wolverine series.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Publishing 360 Mentees & Mentors are required to attend one Publishing 360 Workshop per month.
