About the Event

This Community Studio is designed as a supportive working session for participants to develop their application materials—whether for undergraduate college or MFA program applications. The hour will focus on peer feedback, collaborative writing, and reflection. Participants are encouraged to bring in-progress materials such as personal statements, statements of purpose, or writing portfolios.

This session will focus on creating an outline for an effective college essay. Participants will work on one strong body paragraph that supports the thesis developed last month. For MFA applicants, sequence/order will be introduced for their portfolio as a strategy to strongly reinforce their chosen theme.
