About the Event

Explore the art of essay writing through reflecting on your past experiences from big life events to small daily occurrences. We’ll guide you through a series of essay writing philosophies, techniques and prompts. You’ll learn how to tell your life stories in creative ways.

In this session, we’ll learn what a hermit crab essay in creative nonfiction is and try writing one. We’ll think about how everyday forms like college essays and postcards can become a conduit for our creativity for writing personal essays.
