Boundaries are invisible and yet crucial for loving ourselves and others. We’ll briefly define and discuss what boundaries look like for us before diving into a generative creative session.
In this studio, we will learn about comedy writing and practice looking for a comedic angle in everyday events. The main focus for this second studio will be creating personal, stand-up-style jokes inspired by the news.
In this studio we’ll be using sounds to tune into ourselves and lean into different emotions which we may be experiencing or have experienced in the past. Participants will be able to try out creative sound and audio techniques like audio journaling, song writing, and beat making.
This studio is for poets and artists alike, at any level, who want to explore and have fun with the connection between art and poetry. If words and art set your heart aflutter, you have the tools to create something you didn’t think you could.
Participants will learn how time works in a screenplay! Together, we’ll cover dialogue, montages, and transitions in this final session of our scriptwriting series.
Integration & Expansion of Nature Journaling: This studio will focus on integrating natural journaling into one’s own life, encouraging audiences to intentionally transfer energy, focus, and dedication in order to improve their health and mentality.
Adulting 101: Socially Awkward or Socially Awesome – This session focuses on making friends, navigating romantic relationships, and resolving conflicts within your social spheres.
In this session, participants will explore cultural storytelling as a way to understand self, memory, and belonging, and how writing can help process emotions connected to heritage and personal identity. Through reflective discussion and guided poetry writing, participants will examine how stories, both inherited and self-created, shape who we are and how we heal.
In this session, participants will explore color using collage and book cover design. Participants will translate personal stories into palettes and textures, letting color speak.
