In this Intersectional Voices in Print Studio (IV Print), we will explore the publishing process from all angles, including editing, promotion, and bringing more voices to the page.
This month, peers will play a series of games that can alternatively be used as creative writing prompts and inspire collaboration.
This studio is centered around the idea of a book that has never been bound and exploring the endless possibilities there are as we add to this story. Through this studio we will participate and analyze different activities and notions pertaining to fiction writing and how we can expand on these ideas and learn to gain mastery over our unique crafts.
This month’s session takes participants through a multi-step process in intersectionality, a term that points out how our multiple identities have parts that either are oppressed, provide us with privilege, or find themselves on the spectrum. It challenges us to see ourselves holistically in comparison to how white feminism seeks to blind us.
