The Lover’s Blessing/The Lover’s Curse Video Series explores the mind of individuals when they’re faced with both the challenges and the rewards of “love.”

Process

The Lover’s Curse/The Lover’s Blessing is a short poem book that started out as little journal entries on the notes app of my iPod touch in 2012. I had a lot of big feelings that seemed too strong to keep to myself and too “insane” to share with others. Hundreds of entries later, I realized that as long as my life continued that I would constantly be feeling, thinking and overthinking everything . This video series is 100% influenced by the poem book. I started thinking about the theme and how to pull text from the book to create interview questions. I wanted to tell a story and chose specific people to interview. From there I setup a small “studio” in my home, grabbed a cannon and began filming the first person who I interviewed which is AD the Artist.
