Are there any iconic scripts or screenplays that have inspired you to pursue scriptwriting? What lessons have you drawn from them?
Admittedly, there were no scripts or screenplays that inspired me to pursue screenwriting. I just ended up taking a course on the subject and loved it. However, there are a lot of shows and movies that make me want to continue screenwriting. Whether it be older shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or more recent ones like The Owl House, my love and admiration for these stories have made me want to continue my journey because deep down, I do want to create an awesome story that resonates with people (and hopefully become just as iconic). As far as lessons go, I’ve learned a lot about the importance of plot, characters, and other screenwriting stuff through these mediums. And because I mentioned a family sitcom, I will say a life lesson I’ve learned is the importance of family and from The Owl House, that it’s okay to be yourself.
