In partnership with Eggi Magazine, we invite you to join us at the nexus of language and art for an intergenerational conversation about design—and a hands-on reimagining of the Girls Write Now Collaboratory.
The Collaboratory is our creative home: our national headquarters in the heart of New York City’s Garment District and a virtual hub for members across the country. With a new long-term lease on our space and upgrades underway, it’s in many ways a blank slate—and we want the creativity of our community to help shape what it becomes: a home for writers across generations and disciplines in the next era of Girls Write Now.
The evening brings designers, mentees, and members into the same room to meet one another, experience our community in action, and engage in a panel with design professionals exploring the through line of writing in the industry.
Then, as writers and designers, we’ll collaborate in a charrette—a hands-on design session where small groups sketch and brainstorm ideas together—to help bring the Collaboratory’s future to life.
Come lend your voice, your perspective, and your imagination. This is a chance to look a little closer at how the world is made—and to have a real hand in making ours.
