Come discuss the challenges and joys of creating stories that exist beyond the gender binaries of our world today.

Bring your questions, ideas, and perspectives as we explore the power that comes from expanding our minds and our art to extend beyond prescribed definitions. We’ll share moments when we felt gender euphoria, stories that capture our experiences with gender, and consider how we can write from a place of strength that honors our hearts and minds.

Are you interested in learning more about Girls Write Now Stories and our digital publication process? Intersectional Voices in Editorial (IVEdit) Committee assists with editorial, outreach, and publication of all Girls Write Now Stories, as well as envisioning how Girls Write Now can continue to be a leader in a new era of publishing. We, as editors, come from a myriad of backgrounds, we belong to many groups, and we have experienced many perspectives. We bring all of this to the work as we explore the stories created and celebrated in our community.

IVEdit will meet monthly during the 2023-2024 Girls Write Now Collaboratory. Mentors, mentees, alumni, and members of the public are welcome to attend our meetings and volunteer to help us edit our stories.
