Editorial Forums
Once a month, Girls Write Now holds Editorial Forums to engage our community in discussions about the nature of our work as storytellers through an activist lens. We’ve discussed the themes and topics that writers have been thinking about since Girls Write Now’s inaugural class of 1998, the way the internet creates spaces to share work and discover community, how we can celebrate intersectional diversity through the stories we tell and choose to highlight, and how the language we use to describe ourselves and others can limit or affirm complex identities.
These are spaces to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and to brainstorm ways that we, as an organization of writers and leaders, can change lives through the stories we tell.
As a member of the Web Editorial Committee, you are welcome to attend all Editorial Forums in Spring 2023 and beyond!
