Polishing for Publication with Scholastic: Editing Your Submission

Scholastic and Girls Write Now meet for an intergenerational exchange to help young writers edit their pieces for submission to the Scholastic Choices Essay Contest and beyond! Scholastic employees—“Mentors for the Day”— help mentees take their drafts to the next level using the Active Listening technique and their professional expertise.
Employees will answer questions about their professional journeys and work with mentees to strengthen their pieces in small group breakout rooms. This is a wonderful opportunity for mentees to work with top editors and for Scholastic employees to make a lasting impact on young writers while enjoying an intergenerational gathering of insight, networking and wisdom!
