Join us for the final language studio of the 2026 Summer cycle! Together we will dive into Indigenous Languages, how they are defined, how they are preserved, and how speakers are adapting to a global future. Language enthusiasts of all levels are welcome!
In this session, sound will be used as a tool for self-reflection and emotional exploration, allowing participants to tune into emotions they may be experiencing or have experienced in the past. Participants will explore creative sound and audio practices such as audio journaling, songwriting, and beat-making.

A marching band only works when every section commits to the same downbeat. In our final session, we move from leading ourselves to leading in community (building cultures of shared credit, honest accountability, and mutual care) and each write a Community Leadership Credo that carries our values, our rewritten narratives, and our commitments beyond this studio.

What is college really like, and how did it lead to the job you have now? Join Girls Write Now for a College Chat with professionals from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, who will share how they chose a school, picked a major (or changed one), and made the leap from campus to a first job in banking. They’ll also talk about the roles, skills, and pathways that lead to careers in financial services.Mentees, come hear firsthand stories, ask the questions an admissions brochure can’t answer, and get advice as you think about your own college experience and what comes next. Employees, your path was not a straight line, and that’s the point. Telling a mentee how you got from college to career gives her a map she didn’t have before. Whether you’re planning your first year or looking back on yours, this event is for you!
The I.V. Teach Committee focuses on enhancing teaching and mentorship at Girls Write Now. The committee is responsible for developing and refining teaching techniques, educational materials, and learning experiences to better serve both mentors and mentees. Our work includes curriculum development, mentor training, and implementing new educational strategies that foster more effective and engaging learning environments.
I.V. Edit Print Committee focuses on traditional print media at Girls Write Now. This committee is dedicated to producing the yearly anthology that showcases the written work of Girls Write Now mentees. The goal is to provide a tangible platform for storytelling, allowing community members to see their work in print and share it with a wider audience. Participants in this group also learn all the steps of the publishing process, including concept development, manuscript preparation, design, printing, and distribution.
