Teach GWN (Summer 2025)

In this journey, members of the GWN community will develop curriculum and facilitate a community studio for one or more cycles within GWN’s Collaboratory structure. Each cycle involves facilitating three community studios, one per month. Participants will gain valuable skills in leadership, teaching, and community building. Mentees and mentors can facilitate a community studio either solo (if they are 18 or older) or together as a pair.

“Girls Write Now creates an inspirational platform for expressive young women’s voices to be honored and heard as they join those who have come before them… in shaping the future for all.”
Randee St. Nicholas, Photographer & Director Honoree
“When I come across an organization like Girls Write Now, which inspires and fuels that potential talent, especially amongst young women, because we don’t have nearly enough young women writers in our industry, it’s hard not to admire what’s being done and also to feel the potential relevance for an industry like advertising.”
Emma Cookson Honoree
“It’s so important to support somebody’s honest voice who has a story to tell. It doesn’t matter where she comes from or who she is, but to let her know that her voice is important and we want to listen to it.”
Tamra Davis Honoree
“When you see our girls, when you see them in action, reading their stories, their poetry, interacting with their mentors, you know that you’re looking at the future. And it’s a future that’s bright.”

“As a journalist, I believe in the power of storytelling: to shed light, to move people, to effect change…and I believe girls need to be able to take control of their stories and launch them into the world. Girls WRite Now helps to harness that magic and make it happen.”
