Currently, Kirby-Estar Laguerre is a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Student at West Virginia University on the Child Track working alongside Dr. Christina Duncan in the Pediatric Lab for Adherence and Transition. Her research interests include the following: evidence-based interventions that improve stress management and coping behaviors in pediatric patients and their families, doctor-parent-child communication in relation to overall disease management, regimen adherence, and transition of regimen responsibility, and the impact of socioeconomic factors on pain management and health outcomes within pediatric populations.
