In this workshop, award winning executive producer Shari Scorca will provide an immersive look at documentary storytelling, as participants write their own unscripted lines in real time.
Shari Scorca is the SVP and Head of Unscripted Content for Stage 13, the studio brand that is part of Warner Bros. Television Group. She has developed and produced award-winning unscripted content for the studio that showcase diverse, innovative stories. She oversees the talent and content development, production, and streaming strategy for Stage 13’s unscripted slate of shows, including docu-reality and lifestyle. Series include the studio’s award-winning, unscripted Asian food/travel/lifestyle franchise “Family Style,” the critically acclaimed and award-winning HBO Max series “Lipstick Empire” and “Independent,” and the Netflix unscripted series “Marching Orders.” Most recently, she developed and Executive Produced the series “March” for the CW. Shari previously served as Director of Programming and Executive Producer at mun2/NBCU and Executive Produced unscripted series for the U.S. LatinX audience. She began her television career at MTV News in New York and later served as Bureau Chief for MTV News in Los Angeles. She worked on many of the cornerstone series for MTV, including TRL, Direct EFX, and News Specials on 9/11 and Columbine, as well as large scale, live specials such as the VMAs and the MTV Movie Awards. Shari earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Journalism from NYU.
