Girls Write Now is proud to support the inaugural LKBF Latinx Storytellers Conference! This is the largest, in-person gathering of Latinx writers and illustrators for children and adult books, literary agents and editors to be held at Scholastic’s Headquarters in NYC on September 13-14, 2024.
Hundreds of Latinx storytellers will enjoy community, craft masterclasses, professional development sessions and have access to hard-to-reach industry professionals such as publishers, editors and literary agents.

Watch the Events Unfold Live on Festival Fridays
The 2024 festival will be live on September 20, September 27, and October 11 for three Festival Fridays filled with creative language arts and visual arts content for students of all ages. You can watch all past festival events on the Latinx Kidlit BookFest YouTube channel.
Watch the Latinx KidLit Book Festival streamed live (for free) on the festival’s YouTube channel! YouTube links can also be found on each individual event in the Festival’s schedule page.
Sessions can be safely streamed into the classroom and shared with students using an educator’s account. Classrooms can engage with festival authors and illustrators using the live-chat option! All video content will be recorded and available after the festival.
