Our 2015 CHAPTERS reading series was filled with electrifying, inspirational and fearless performances from our talented mentees and four professional, game-changing women writing today, all surrounding our “Voice To Voice” theme. At our April 2015, special guest speaker Tiphanie Yanique, author of Land of Love and Drowning, joined the stage with our talented teen writers at Scholastic.

Emcees
- MENNEN ZAW GORDON is an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker and founder of her own production company Wegugen Ramyun (WR) Productions. She’s currently writing a (not-so) short film called “Dirty Jane” about a group of friends breaking up before they go off to college, and a webseries called “Project Pilot,” with a pilot to a new series every episode.
- TIFFANI REN plays Quidditch in Central Park, occasionally crochets, and watches literary YouTube adaptations ALL THE TIME— and she’s been a mentee with Girls Write Now for two years! One of her favorite parts of being in the program last year was doing the CHAPTERS reading, because there was just so much unexpected support from this community that night.
