Girls Write Now has always been about stories, and the writers and relationships behind them. And that is particularly true during these uncertain times. Girls Write Now mentors are rising up and enveloping their mentees with support, and vice versa—and they are writing.
Late last week, The New Yorker published a story called “Quarantine Tips from My Cat,” by Nikki Palumbo, a Girls Write Now mentor who was inspired to write the piece when her mentee, Jadah Jones, asked, how is your cat doing during all of this? Nikki’s response turned into this heartwarming and relatable story, “Quarantine Tips From My Cat.”
