The poem is meant to speak on the feeling of hopelessness, but also the possibility of change. The idea that even within despair, there is still the ability for something revolutionary to happen.

Artist‘s Statement
AJ Lamas-Nemec incorporates visually engaging line breaks, strange capitalization, and intricate metaphor to craft poems which attempt to reflect the world as they see it. They hope that their work demonstrates their care of others, as well as the emotions felt in the moment of creating a piece of writing. Though they are a bit of a novice, they are excited to grow and learn throughout their writing journey.

This piece explores what home means, and the different ways it can manifest. I mainly explored how different smells can remind you of home, and what that home looks like for me.
