Ashley Wu
(she/her) Mentee
Ashley Wu is a teenager in New York. She is a daughter, a sister, a friend, a student and a zebra. Only four of those things are true. Outside of Zoom classes, you might find her taking photos, making movies, playing the flute, dancing her heart out or pretending she lives in one of the books she’s reading.
Artist‘s Statement
Writing helps me practice the process of articulating my thoughts in an engaging, precise manner. Writing helps me practice the art of using my voice. I write about what I think about. In this way, my stories are unique to me. But I also write about topics we all think about, like sleep and love and home. In this way, my stories are for everyone.
