Emily McCombs is a writer and Deputy Editor at HuffPost Personal, the site’s first-person essay section, so she gets to spend all day helping people tell their stories. She’s been writing and editing personal essays for over decade, with time on staff at HuffPost, xoJane.com, Elite Daily and freelance at many others. In her spare time, she sings with a Britpop Choir and takes Britney Spears-themed dance classes. She lives in Brooklyn with her 10-year-old son.
