The first time I realized my parents did not hold the answers of the universe in their palms was not when I was asking obscure questions about aardvarks or pirate ships.

Artist‘s Statement
Time and space cast a haze over almost all of my works; I write mainly through the past, decontextualizing generational memories before reconstructing them in the present. My essays and poems, therefore, involve both my own experiences and those that have been gifted and borrowed from loved ones. In my writing, I hope to tell the truth.
