Since 2017, Heidi Huntington has been a professor at West Texas A&M University. As of summer 2022, she is making a career pivot from teaching digital marketing to practicing it. She has a PhD in Public Communication and Technology from Colorado State University, where she focused on the study of political internet memes. In addition to the power of social media for communication and change, her writing and research interests include effective teaching with technology, early career planning, and local news.
