Kayla Levy is a reporter and editor at Patch, covering Queens. Before that she was a writer at New York Magazine. Her work has also been featured in Time Out Magazine and Woman’s Day. She graduated from Barnard College where she studied cities and people (B.A. in urban studies and sociology) with a focus on independent research topics ranging from gentrification to gendered space. She is a devoted member of the Park Slope Food Co-op and lives in the neighborhood with five roommates and her cat, Momo.
