Kibin Alleyne
Kibin Alleyne began her journey in broadcast journalism as an intern for Harlem radio station, WHCR 90.3 FM. With a degree in Psychology and a minor in Journalism, it was there she realized she could combine her passion for both fields, assisting the host of a mental health-themed morning radio show. Shortly after, Kibin would produce her own 1-hour segment, highlighting current events and exploring social issues within today's pop culture! In 2018, Kibin strengthened her journalism skills through a reporter Internship at BronxNet. Following the internship, she officially joined the BronxNet reporting team. There, she produced and pitched creative and hyper-local news stories before becoming the host of BronxNet's flagship morning program. A highlight during Kibin's time at Bronxnet was hosting a 1-hour special introducing the Bronx Borough president after a historic win. With her earliest media experience starting as a media assistant for a community preservation organization, she sharpened her administration skills and gained skills in communication, research, and marketing. Kibin continues to have an interest in all things creative within arts and entertainment, and a passion for engagement, communication, and storytelling.
