This piece is about my relationship with my father, and my appreciation towards him for bringing our family to the United States. His sacrifice has given me the opportunity for a better future.

Artist‘s Statement
The everyday objects, the changing of seasons, the conversion of color in leafs, the reflection of clouds in our tea cups, and the ever-changing sky —all potray to us an essence of the world around us. They teach us to see, to feel, and to think. Through my work, I hope to illustrate the essence of the random things around us that we often miss out on while fulfilling everyday responsibilities. I want to inspire others to see and to find meaning in all that surrounds them.

My mom and dad are my best support system. They have made a lot of sacrifices so that my sisters and I can have a better future. I love them so much, and I am forever grateful to them. To give them a tribute, I made this piece.
