Leah Abrams believes that the words we choose are a reflection of our deepest values. It’s why she spent a summer pushing a leading civil rights firm to add trans-inclusive language to its style guide.Now at West Wing Writers, Leah helps clients demonstrate that same moral clarity, penning everything from captivating commencement addresses to viral op-eds. Her words have appeared on some of the world’s largest platforms on behalf of foundation presidents, pop stars, and prime ministers. An active member of West Wing Writers’ esteemed humor writing team and a founding member of its Gen-Z cohort, Leah also runs the firm’s Twitter account—and average monthly profile visits have tripled under her tenure. Before you ask: No, she is not team follow back.Before taking up speechwriting, Leah graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a double major in Public Policy and History. At Duke, she was awarded highest honors for her senior thesis on criminal justice reform, won the George P. Lucaci prize for creative nonfiction, and slept in a tent for several weeks in exchange for basketball tickets.
