Calling all Girls Write Now mentee alums from the past 20 years: send us your work!
In celebration of our upcoming 20th anniversary, Girls Write Now is collecting work from our past mentees, and we want you to be a part of it! We are collecting submissions from all mentees over the past twenty years, but are especially looking for mentee work from the years 1998-2007. If you were a Girls Write Now mentee during this time (or are in touch with mentees who were) and are interested in submitting your work from Girls Write Now, please email us at [email protected] for more information.
We are looking for pieces which reflect your voice as a mentee while in the program. We are particularly looking for more submissions of personal narrative, non-fiction, and memoir at this time. There are no limits on page and word count, and you are welcome to submit more than one piece.
Your pieces do not have to be perfect or polished — we’re just happy to showcase your work from your time at Girls Write Now! If you’re unsure where to find pieces you wrote as a mentee, try looking through old notebooks or searching old email exchanges with your mentor. If you have any questions about submissions, feel free to reach out to us over email.
