Open to all mentees, mentee alum and Writing Works mentors
Let’s face it—a college degree comes with a hefty price tag!! The good news is there’s plenty of higher education money out there! In this workshop, mentees will learn how and where to find money for school, the difference between grants, loans, and scholarships, and tips for writing stand-out essays and short answer responses tailored to specific funders. We’ll also cover some information about the FASFA form! Writing Works Mentors will help mentees craft their written scholarship application materials and offer small group feedback in breakout rooms. Whether you’re applying to college now or you’re already in college, join this workshop to learn strategies for easing your higher education financial burden!
