In this session, we will explore how poets may blur the lines when describing grief and love. Sometimes it is hard to even tell which one they are describing. Through close readings and writing exercises, we will discover how both can become a language of memory, of showing grace, and of transformation.
The Life You Could Be Living: Explorations from the Edge – Through photographs and poetry, we explore the adventure of life. “Come to the Edge” and other poems inspire participants to write from a different perspective.

Boundaries are invisible and yet crucial for loving ourselves and others. We’ll briefly define and discuss what boundaries look like for us before diving into a generative creative session.
In this studio, we will learn about comedy writing and practice looking for a comedic angle in everyday events. The main focus for this second studio will be creating personal, stand-up-style jokes inspired by the news.
In this studio we’ll be using sounds to tune into ourselves and lean into different emotions which we may be experiencing or have experienced in the past. Participants will be able to try out creative sound and audio techniques like audio journaling, song writing, and beat making.
