Girls Write Now and The Yellow Tulip Project Kick Off Wellness Collaboration
We are excited to announce a collaboration with The Yellow Tulip Project!
The Yellow Tulip Project (YTP) is a determined youth-driven 501 c-3 with a mission to smash the stigma surrounding mental illness—and to build a community of people who realize that hope happens when youth and leaders work together. With aligned missions of uplifting young voices and honoring wellness practices, our two organizations are excited to work together to support a greater number of young people in telling their stories to enact meaningful change in their communities. Stay tuned for new crossover initiatives surrounding writing, storytelling, and mental health. To get involved or to learn more, visit theyellowtulipproject.org.
Beginning on August 30th, Grief Awareness Day, Yellow Tulip Project will be posting a mini-series of blog posts from three Girls Write Now mentees: Olivia Kim, Emma Kurshnirsky, and Ifeoma Okwuka focusing on their writing about grief and loss. These powerful, tender reflections break the stigma of speaking about grief while exploring how loss manifests differently in each of our lives.
