Girls Write Now is thrilled to partner with ThoughtMatter, a branding agency in NYC specializing in brand strategy and identity with an artful perspective. For the past several months, Girls Write Now has had the opportunity to work closely with Tom Jaffe, ThoughtMatter’s Founder & Chief Executive and his team: Anna Milivojevich, Creative Director, Jessie McGuire, Executive Director, Strategy, Martha Kirby, Client Services Director, and Katie Williams, Account Manager. ThoughtMatter honed in on consistent and relevant messaging and a playful 20th anniversary logo that will help us move the needle as we chart our future.
As artists, designers and thinkers we see the power that lies in amplifying voices that might otherwise be left unheard. In today’s ever-changing cultural climate, we must work even harder to keep giving the underrepresented a platform to speak. Which is why it’s not only important but it makes perfect sense that we work with an organization like Girls Write Now.
We are honored to be working with Girls Write Now on their 20th anniversary identity and can’t wait to see how our design and strategy sets up Girls Write Now for success over the next 20 years.

Girls Write Now Founder and Executive Director Maya Nussbaum adds:
“Girls Write Now is thrilled to work with the talent at ThoughtMatter as we embark on an exciting time for the organization, our 20th anniversary, with a campaign that kicks off on a meaningful day —Day of the Girl. ThoughtMatter has been especially successful in understanding the power of our mission and we’re lucky to have their trained eye. I have worked with countless marketing and branding companies over the last 20 years in the nonprofit sector, and I have never encountered a more passionate team. I couldn’t be more impressed with their original and innovative ideas and solutions. They truly listen and respond with a laser focus on high quality outcomes that serve the organization’s greatest needs.”
