The model of Girls Write Now is based on the idea that writing is a communal act. That is also the rationale for Girls Write Now’s new annual membership programs, the Corporate Partnership Program and the Community Membership Program.
We started this program to expand our network of supporters and expose our girls to opportunities they may not know of otherwise. Programs like these also diversify our funding streams and allow us, in this time of strategic organizational and programatic growth, to back up that growth with the funds needed.
When you join the Community Membership Program, you become part of a community of students, poets, novelists, journalists, editors, executives, and other individuals passionate about supporting the next generation of women writers. This program allows for networking and educational opportunities and connection to all facets of our work.
In becoming a Corporate Partner of Girls Write Now, you are making a true investment in our unique programming. As the mentors and mentees engage in an intensive writing relationship in high school, corporations can offer exposure and access to career paths in need of girls’ talents and skills. Through this partnership, and between our collective community footprints, we will share and diversify content, develop a strategic public relations plan to highlight our work together, and elevate the voices of Girls Write Now.
