“When looking at funding arts education programs around the country, the Find Your Light Foundation focuses on the quality, impact, and sustainability of each program…Girls Write Now reaches the highest standard in each one of these categories and shows how much the arts can change the trajectory of young people’s lives.” – Josh Groban, Grammy nominated singer and songwriter
Find Your Light Foundation, Josh Groban’s foundation, has awarded Girls Write Now with a generous grant. The Find Your Light Foundation helps enrich the lives of young people through arts, education, and cultural awareness.
Josh Groban, who is currently on a world tour and will release STAGES LIVE on February 5th, 2016, firmly believes that “the arts in children’s and young adult’s lives help shape and change them for the better.” His foundation helps introduce youth to arts and culture through various venues, and now through Girls Write Now. We have a history of working with singer-songwriters, such as Suzanne Vega and Suzzy Roche, and our girls benefit from the experience — most recently collaborating on the music video “Ode to Malala.”
Girls Write Now’s mission to mentor underserved young women to find their voices through the power of writing and community aligns with Find Your Light and their desire to continue building a national arts education community.
