Fall 2026

Publishing & Publicity: TikTok, BookTok, and the Power of Social Media

This Journey explores how social media—especially TikTok’s BookTok community—has transformed the publishing industry. With the input from industry professionals, you’ll gain insight into how books are marketed, discovered, and driven to bestseller lists in the digital age. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on projects, you’ll learn how publicity campaigns are built, how authors cultivate authentic online presence, and how trends shape reader engagement. We will analyze successful BookTok strategies, create tour own promotional concepts, and develop practical skills in digital marketing, branding, and literary publicity—while examining the evolving relationship between storytelling, audience, and platform.
