In Girls Write Now’s cutting edge Digital Media Mentoring Program, girls create at the intersection of language, technology, and art. The professional women in media who serve as mentors support teens as they explore writing through video and audio production, interaction design, creative programming, animation, and more.
On June 2, The QWERTY Digital Media Exhibition showcased the innovative genre-and medium-bending work by New York City teens.
QWERTY is the culmination of Girls Write Now’s 2016-17 Digital Media Mentoring Program in partnership with Parsons The New School for Design. This program is made possible with leadership funding from the New York City Council STARS Citywide Girls Initiative, The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller Fund, News Corp, Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation, Malka Fund of the Jewish Communal Fund, Patrina Foundation, and The PIMCO Foundation.
