Let’s flip the script: research movies that were later developed into books. Start with this website to understand the relatively niche history of movie-to-book adaptations.
January 30, 2024 at 10:39 am #185435I remember I used to read books that were inspired by the show “Stranger Things”. They were often times prequels and talked about the backstories of different characters that were often overlooked.
February 3, 2024 at 11:11 pm #185754Interesting list! I was especially surprised to see Jumanji and Child’s Play among them. So, while not as popular, it appears if a screenplay is well-enough received, the creators can expand on it with books. I think this honestly works better with TV shows though as I’ve seen a lot more books based on that. Then again, I did see that the Nightmare Before Christmas got a YA adaption so maybe it works.
