Artist‘s Statement
The work I’ve created during my time at Girls Write Now has been greatly inspired by the sessions I’ve had with my Girls Write Now mentor Liz. We both write to express our feelings, self-reflect, and spread awareness about societal issues that are important to us.
Though my dog brings great joy into my life, we have the ultimate incompatibility: different love languages. This piece is about the frustration of trying to cuddle with him and learning to accept our differences.
