Workshop | Rhyming With Reason with JRose

Open to all mentees, all mentors and program alum

In this workshop, we will focus on the skill of rhyming in spoken word poetry. Participants will be presented with various writing prompts that challenge their rhyming skills. A number of literary devices will also be discussed, such as, alliteration and wordplay.

Join Girls Write Now and Inkluded, a nonprofit championing diversity in publishing by actively working to train and place young people from underrepresented groups into their first publishing jobs, as we discuss what it takes for marginalized voices to enter into and make it in the publishing industry. At this event. you will meet the founder of Inkluded, Michael Mejias, and hear more about his groundbreaking program and how to apply.
