online event; open to mentors across all programs
Calling all Girls Write Now Mentors! This is for you! Join our staff at the second Professional Development session
of the program year.
In this session, participants will learn about and examine their own conflict styles. We will explore what happens to our brains and bodies while we are in conflict as a way to prepare to work through difficult conversations and relational challenges as they come up. The workshop invites participants to reflect on the content and share from their own experiences as a way to deepen and integrate the teachings. Lessons learned from this session can be applied to our mentoring relationships.
Before attending the session, if possible, please take this conflict styles assessment, record your results (take a screenshot or write them down), and bring these to the session. This will help you to relate to and reflect on
your personal conflict style.
