Together, we’ll explore pairing visual art with poetry through the language of color. As we aim to use color theory as our guide, we’ll dive into the emotions and energies that different hues inspire.
This month, we’re talking about folktales, fairytales, and fables. What are they and what’s the difference between them? Why are there so many different versions of them, and how might you participate in the tradition of re-writing and re-imagining these stories?
This month, be prepared to learn about how easy zine creation can be (and what a zine is!) as well as how to pair photos and visual artwork with the written word to create something new and beautiful. No experience or supplies needed — just come prepared for a night of chill vibes and three or more of your own photos for this project.
In this session, attendees will explore the Do’s and Don’ts and common misconceptions about Copywriting. Consider this the 411 on kickstarting a career in freelance digital marketing.
In this session, participants will learn about positive visioning for climate futures, read excerpts of a climate fiction story, and brainstorm ideas for a positive climate future. The lesson will culminate in the co-creation of a future climate narrative.
In partnership with NBCUniversal, this workshop gives mentees the opportunity to learn how to create and deliver a compelling elevator pitch. Mentees should come with an idea for a media project they’d like to develop.
In the Refining Your Pitch workshop, mentees will explore what makes a successful pitch, how to market themselves, and how to convey their ideas effectively. After drafting their elevator pitch, mentees will have the opportunity to receive personalized feedback from an NBCUniversal Mentor for the Day.

She’ll share insights from her journey in film and television, answer audience questions during a dedicated Q&A session, and lead participants through engaging creative writing exercises designed to spark new ideas.
