Join a global challenge to write a novel in the month of November with the encouragement of an international community of writers.
Have you always dreamed of writing a novel? What if you could achieve a life-long goal in just one month? That’s the concept behind National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo.
NaNoWriMo is a nonprofit organization that provides tools, structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds — on and off the page. Many Girls Write Now mentors, mentees, and staff have participated in the annual challenge, which encourages endless creativity and a dedication to a writing practice. NaNoWriMo runs a program for adults, as well as the NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program. With prompts, resources, author pep talks, and an international community by your side, there’s no better way to get that first draft done. Let’s see what we can accomplish together this November!
