Liaising between our network of corporate partners and our community of strong writers, we curate jobs, internships, scholarships, publications, and other opportunities to jumpstart your search and support you along the way.
To Apply:
1. Log-in to the portal or create a profile
2. Click the “Opportunities” tab.
3. Click “Learn More” to see job descriptions, salary information and more for opportunities you’re interested in.
4. Click “Apply” in the pop-out window to be directed to the official job posting and apply on the company’s website.
By applying through the portal, you’ll automatically have access to resources, Jobs, Internships, Scholarships, Publications and other opportunities and supports.
Children’s Librarian | New York Public Library
The New York Public Library (NYPL) has been an essential provider of free books, information, ideas, and education for all New Yorkers for more than 100 years. The Library is seeking Children’s Librarians to empower children from infant through pre-teen to become creative thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and resourceful users of information. Successful candidates will embody each of these four characteristics themselves.
Cataloging Intern | The Poetry Foundation
The Poetry Foundation is seeking a part-time Cataloging Intern to support the Library team. The Cataloging Intern is a part-time position, under the guidance of the Library Director. Primary responsibilities include copy and original cataloging for the library’s collections. The Cataloging Intern will also assist with covering the reference desk as needed. The library collection consists of over 40,000 items, including chapbooks, broadsides, and special collections. It is one of the largest collections of poetry in the Midwest.
National Teen Art Contest | New York Public Library
The New York Public Library’s National Teen Art Contest deadline is coming up on December 6! Teens ages 13–18 across the country are invited to make their voices heard in the conversation about book bans and censorship for a chance to win $500, get published in Teen Voices magazine, and see their work exhibited in one of the Library’s midtown locations. Girls Write Now mentee Tara Lago was named the winner in last year’s contest.
